No horse tax in Schleswig-Holstein

No horse tax in Schleswig-Holstein

Start of the nationwide online petition against the introduction of a horse tax

Warendorf (fn-press). The protest against the introduction of the horse tax is entering the "hot phase". As of now, horse lovers can cast their vote in an online petition, The link can be found at www.pferdesteuer.de. In addition, signature lists are also available for download under this link.

During the next six weeks (until 31 March) horse lovers can protest against the introduction of the horse tax on the internet or on signature lists. The petition is addressed to all cities and municipalities in Germany and especially to those municipalities that have already declared themselves in favour of the horse tax (such as Bad Sooden-Allendorf/Hesse). These are called upon to withdraw the decision.

Under the auspices of the German Equestrian Federation (FN), the German equestrian sport and breeding associations are calling for a major joint action in solidarity. Even if the horse tax is not (yet) discussed everywhere, every voice is needed in the fight against the levy. "We want to mobilize many thousands of riders and horse lovers with this petition. Because we all know how unfair the horse tax is and what a serious impact it would have on our sport, on the training of children and young people in our clubs and businesses and on the breeding and keeping of horses and ponies," says FN Secretary General Soenke Lauterbach.

Specifically, this petition is addressed to the interest groups of the municipalities, the German Association of Cities and Towns (large cities and independent towns) and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities (towns and municipalities belonging to districts).

Horse lovers can choose between the online petition or the signature list. Both can be found at www.pferdesteuer.de or on the homepages of many equestrian magazines. The signature lists are accepted by the German Equestrian Federation, Freiherr-von-Langen-Straße 13, 48231 Warendorf, Fax: 02581-6362594 or 02581-63627616. In addition, the FN offers advertising materials such as flyers and banners in different sizes for homepages on the website www.pferdesteuer.de.

By the way, those who already participated in the online petition last December against the horse tax in Bad Sooden-Allendorf should still support the new petition. They are completely separate processes. hen
