Stallion information: Diarado

Hardly ever in the history of the Holstein licensing in Neumünster has there been such a clear and celebrated winning stallion as the one of the year 2007: Diarado. He was described by the breeding director Dr. Nissen as follows: The winning stallion spread an incredible charisma, as he embodies the perfect type of a modern equestrian. Due to his black-brown coat, which is rare and unique for Holstein, this excellently constructed nobleman captivated the audience at all his performances. The enormous type is paired with a very closed topline, a strong back and four absolutely correct legs. The basic gaits increased from a rather good walk to a good trot and found their climax in the optimal canter. But the real highlight of his performance was the show at the free jumping. From the first jump he showed optimal overview and worked with loose body, excellent leg technique and incredible ability, which earned him the score 10.0.

His sire Diamant de Semilly was a member of the French team that won the World Championships in Jerez in 2002 under Eric Levallois. Diamant de Semilly is bred for performance and, like his sire Le Tôt de Semilly, son of the legendary Grand Veneur, is currently one of the most successful stallions in France. At the final of the young show jumpers in Fontainebleau Diamant de Semilly was several times "best sire of young horses".

The dam is a daughter of the Holstein jumper Corrado I and full sister of the licensed stallion Crawford. In the maternal line, the lineage leads back via the well-known sires Lord and Ramiro to the highly successful line 318D2 of the Bernhard family, which has produced the sires Corofino I + II, Coriano, Chello I + II as well as the champion stallion Camiros in the past years.
