2015 - Filly by stallion Nekton

2015 - Filly by stallion Nekton

Holsteiner filly by Nekton out of the mare Wendetta (by Quintero, Silvano, Cash, Lagos - Stamm 890) born 06.04.15

Nekton is of special importance in Holstein horse breeding not only because of his sire Nimmerdor. The maternal line is also very interesting, as it goes back to a highly successful Dithmarsch mare line via the important mares Legende and Viola. Wendetta the Holsteiner mother mare can refer to jumping successes of her offspring. This Holsteiner filly from 06.04.2015 is very noble and strong in movement. The power comes from behind and the shoulder is free so harald Andresen raves about this foal. Very well developed joints and a stable foundation with enough elegance.

Stallion Nekton:

Nekton was the best stallion at the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with 143 index points in jumping.

In his first show season he won novice (A) and elementary (L) level tests for young show jumpers with Tina Vesterlund, took fourth place at the State Championships for 5-year-old Holstein show jumpers in Elmshorn and qualified for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. In 2006 Nekton was ridden by Lars Bak Andersen, with whom he again qualified for the Bundeschampionat. As a seven and eight year old he won advanced (S*) level show jumping competitions, in 2009 he was victorious in advanced (S**) level show jumping competitions and placed highly in advanced (S***) level show jumping competitions. Until his retirement from the sport in 2012, he was successful at national and international shows under Lars Bak Andersen.

The sire Nimmerdor, a Dutch-bred son of the Holstein stallion Farn out of a Dutch mare descended from the thoroughbred Koridon xx, is one of the best sires in European warmblood breeding. He was internationally successful in sport with Albert Voorn. With over 30 licensed sons, he has had a dominating influence on Dutch jumper breeding. Nimmerdor is currently held in high esteem as his son Heartbreaker is considered a particularly successful sire of show jumping talent.

The dam Legend - a Coriano daughter goes back in her pedigree to Viola by Caletto II. She is the dam of Dobel's Cento, who with Otto Becker is one of the best and most successful jumping stallions in international warmblood breeding: Team Gold Medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, winner of the World Cup Final in 2002 and winner of the Grand Prix of Calgary and in Aachen. Nekton was already highly frequented as a young stallion and had excellent foal crops.  )
