At the age of 9 he won the Nations Cup in Helsinki with the Danish team and took part in the 1997 European Championships in Mannheim with Bo Kristoffersen. He then moved to Franke Sloothaak's stable. Together they won the Grand Prix of Arnhem and Modena. They were also part of the successful German Nations Cup team in Aachen and Modena. Their successes included outstanding results in London, Leipzig, Dortmund and Paris.
In addition to his impressive career as a sport horse, the special value of Cassini I lies in his unique sire quality. So far 59 of his sons have been licensed in Germany. At the age of 23, he is one of the most distinguished show jumping sires in the world. A large part of this was due to the successful appearance of his offspring at the major international championships. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, two of his offspring reached the individual finals. The Belgian licensed stallion Cavalor Cumano with Jos Lansink and Olympic with Steve Guerdat. Cavalor Cumano, a son out of a Landgraf I-Caletto II mare, also won the highest show jumping competition in the world in Calgary in 2004 with Jos Lansink and was third in the Grand Prix of Aachen in 2005.
In 2006 at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Cassini I was the outstanding sire. With Cavalor Cumano under Jos Lansink he provided the World Champion in the individual classification and with Eurocommerce Berlin under Gerco Schröder another son was represented in the winning team of the Dutch. In 2007 at the European Championships he provided the Vice European Champion with Cavalor Cumano With Eurocommerce Berlin again a horse of the Dutch gold medal team. In 2008, the Cassini I son Carlsson vom Dach and Will Simpson secured the team gold medal for the Americans at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong with a fast clear round in the jump-off.
In 2009 it was Camiro under Tony André Hansen, Verelst Curtis under the saddle of Daniel Deußer as well as Carino with his rider Ulrich Kirchhoff who achieved many international victories and placings.
Also in the younger generations there are always striking young talents by Cassini I, he placed with Cassinja under Hinnerk Köhlbrandt the Landeschampioness of the 5-year old show jumpers in Schlewsig-Holstein.
