Stallion Information: Cormit
Cormint, the reserve winner of the 2004 licensing in Neumünster, was described as follows: "A sport horse type of the special class with a completely modern overcast. Always full of energy, the dark bay stallion with a medium frame presented himself as a sovereign representative of the year. Correct in conformation and standing on a solid foundation, he was one of the favorites. His basic gaits are of the very best quality with enormous impulsion and drive in the trot. At the jump he showed his athleticism with a super technique and boundless ability." Cormint's pedigree is marked by the best jumper sires of the Holstein breed.
The sire Calido I was highly successful in tests for young show jumpers up to the Bundeschampionat. In 2004, he achieved a highly regarded double success with the Bundeschampionat winner Coster and the runner-up Clintwood. With Coupe de Coeur, Calido I provides a horse in a class of his own. His rider Ludger Beerbaum won the Grand Prix of Dortmund with him and achieved excellent placings in the Grand Prix of Bordeaux, Paris, Munich as well as at the World Cup Final in Las Vegas. In 2011 Coupe de Coeur secured fifth place at the European Championships in Madrid under Hendrik von Eckermann and won the German Championships in Balve with Ludger Beerbaum.
Carthago, as the dam's sire, has done great things both in sport and in breeding. First with Bo Kristoffersen and then from 1996 with Jos Lansink he was successful at almost all important shows. Jos Lansink competed with him twice at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and Sydney. He is one of the best jumper sires of his generation. Cormint's dam Ilona XV is of particular importance. She is the direct sister of the world-class horse Carlot, who placed excellently in many top international competitions under Maria Sundberg and later moved to Rodrigo Pessoa's stable. With his new rider, he placed an excellent second in top ten show jumping at the CSI Geneva, was second in the Linköping Grand Prix and third in Amsterdam, among others. Cormint's granddam, the Lord mare Silvia, was herself successful in show jumping competitions with Tjark Nagel. She is the dam of a number of very important horses. In addition to Carlot, she produced the Caletto II son Campari (Carsten-Otto Nagel), who has won 47 medium (M) and advanced (S) level tests.
With Chupamint, Cormint produced a licensed stallion at the 2009 licensing that was sold to Brazil for 100,000 Euros. In 2010 his offspring set further highlights, for example Zisterne was the outstanding champion mare at the Elitestutenschau in Elmshorn and his licensed son Corinth achieved one of the top prices at the auction of stallions in Neumünster with 95,000 Euros. Cormints offspring in Holstein is very positive. Both in type (126 points) and especially in gait (139 points) Cormint is in the top of the stallion population with a total breeding value in the foal evaluation of 132.
With Centurion, Corinth and Chupamint, Cormint already has three licensed stallions for Holstein breeding.
