2015 - Premium - Holsteiner - colt by Toulon BWP

2015 - Premium - Holsteiner - colt by Toulon BWP

Premium - Holsteiner - colt by Toulon BWP (by. Heartbreaker WPN - Jokinal de Bornival BWP ) out of White Girl by Colman, Alcatraz, Lord, Raimond Stamm 18 A2

To breed successful show jumpers, you have to be open as a breeder, said Harald Andresen when he was asked about this mating. I was very interested in the stallion Toulon and used one of my best Holsteiner mares for this mating.

This decision was right, so this colt was awarded a premium in Behrendorf - congratulations - keep it up!

The stallion Toulon was one of the most striking sons of the outstanding sire Heartbreaker in international show jumping in recent years. Under the saddle of Hubert Bourdy, the 1.72m BWP stallion won the Grand Prix at the Global Champions Tour in Sao Paulo and numerous other high placings. Last year, however, Toulon suffered an injury in Arezzo that forced the bay to take an extended break from sport. Although the stallion is fit again and his use has been approved by the veterinarians, owner and rider have decided to use Toulon exclusively for breeding for the duration of this breeding season in order to be on the safe side.

A good thing for the demanding jumper breeding, because the bay is increasingly coming to the fore as a sire of highly talented offspring: His sire is the stallion Heartbreaker, also internationally successful under Peter Geerink, who is a living legend as a jumper sire. However, despite numerous licensed sons, it is sometimes difficult to recruit a successor who could follow in the incomparable Heartbreaker's great footsteps. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that Heartbreaker is not easy to mate in terms of exterieur and frame in the production of licensed stallions and on the other hand, because the semen of the living jumping sire legend is currently not necessarily of high quality, a fact that in turn considerably limits the number of his currently born offspring.
